Global Construction firms expect top line growth, but a third expect more job cuts.
Global engineering and construction firms expect backlogs to increase next year because of owner and consumer demand, as well as expansion into regions such as the Middle East, Australia, Africa and India, according to a recent survey by KPMG International. However, almost half the firms surveyed think project financing will be a major obstacle, and many of them expect to implement more stringent accountability policies and procedures. A third of the respondents expect to cut staff.
